LJ Watson finished with five touchdowns and 196 rushing yards Saturday to lead Chenango Forks to a 49-12 Division IV rout of host Susquehanna Valley in the Section 4 Football Conference.

Watson opened the scoring with a 65-yard run and followed with a TD catch, a 41-yarder from Cody Bogue. The Blue Devils, who jumped to Class B this season after winning the last three Class C state titles in a row, then sacked Sabers quarterback Jarred Freije in the end zone for a safety and a 16-0 lead in the first quarter.

Watson scored on a 43-yard rush and Tim McDonald had a 1-yard TD run to extend the Blue Devils' lead to 29-0 in the second quarter.

Freije connected with Kyle Leonard for a 55-yard TD pass to end the shutout bid as the Sabers faced a 29-6 halftime deficit.

Watson wasn't finished, though, as he opened the scoring in the third quarter with a 40-yard TD run. After Freije found Billy Sheridan on a 7-yard TD pass, Watson rattled off a 32-yard scoring run and McDonald ran in from 10 yards out.

Brandin Paulhamus, Tiernen Joseph and Connor Borchardt combined for four sacks for the Blue Devils (5-0, 1-0), who host Windsor next Saturday.

Freije's 130 passing yards led SV (2-3, 1-1), which visits Norwich on Friday.
